Itinerary: Santiago de Compostela to León
Day 1: Santiago de Compostela-Vivero
City tour of Santiago and lunch, then motorcoach to Ferrol and board the El Transcantábrico. Sip cocktails while traveling northeast to the walled town of Vivero. Tour of Vivero and dinner.Day 2: Vivero-Luarca
Continue by train east through scenic river landscapes; stop for short boat trip on the estuary. Tour of Ribadeo and lunch, then travel to Luarca, “the white town of the green coast,” for dinner.Day 3: Luarca-Gijón
Cross green lands of Asturias towards capital, Oviedo, with its array of pre-Romanesque monuments. After lunch and city tour, continue to seaport of Gijón for dinner.
Day 4: Gijón-Llanes
Travel to “Picos de Europa” National Park. Visit lakes and Sanctuary of Covadonga. Lunch on board while traveling along the River Sella approaching Ribadesella. Dinner in the seaside resort town of Llanes.Day 5: Llanes-Santander
Disembark in Cabezón de la Sal and motorcoach to the Neo-Caves of Altamira. Continue on to medieval village of Santillana del Mar for lunch and tour. Train to Santander, dinner, city tour and optional visit to local casino.
Day 6: Santander-Bilbao-Mercadillo
Free morning. Lunch on board while traveling to Bilbao. City tour includes famous Guggenheim Museum. Train to Mercadillo for dinner.Day 7: Mercadillo-Cistierna
Train to Mataporquera; bus to Castile’s Channel. Lunch in Villalcázar de Sirga. Continue to Guardo and meet the train to Cistierna.Day 8: Cistierna-León
Train to León. Visit San Isidoro, Cathedral, Old Quarter and San Marcos.
Train also operates in reverse direction: Léon to Santiago.

Payments and Deposits:
A deposit of 50% of the tour cost is required to start processing the reservation, either by check or credit card (American Express, Visa or MasterCard). No reservations will be processed without the initial deposit.
