Eastbound Itinerary
Day 1: Seattle, Washington (D)
Board the GrandLuxe train in Seattle. Special welcome-aboard dinner.
Day 2: Mt. Rainier National Park (B, L, D)
Our train parks at the base of 14,410-foot Mt. Rainier this morning. Motorcoach along the Road to Paradise to a scenic lookout of for a commanding view of the summit. Reboard the train for a five-course dinner and overnight.![]()
Day 3: On board (B, L, D)
Full day on the train as you take in the stunning views of Washington’s Cascade Mountains and Columbia River Gorge. Enjoy afternoon tea with fresh pastries. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (B, L, D)
Arrive Coeur d’Alene, a lakefront resort town. Tour the area with lunch on the lake—watch for moose, bald eagles and other local wildlife. Enjoy dinner, entertainment and overnight on the train as we head toward Glacier National Park.
Day 5: Glacier National Park (B, L, D)
Glacier National Park encompasses more than a million acres of cedar, hemlock, fir and pine forests; green alpine meadows and hundreds of lakes. It is home to over 70 species of mammals and over 260 species of birds. Tour this spectacular area in historic, canvas-topped "Red Buses" built in 1936. Dinner and overnight on board as we continue east.
Day 6: Helena, Montana (B, L, D)
Tour Helena, including the Montana Historical Society Museum, as well as Holter Lake. Board a boat for a cruise to the 1,200-foot Gates of the Mountain. Reboard the train for ride towards Yellowstone National Park with dinner on board.
Day 7: Yellowstone National Park (B, L, D)
Guided tour of Yellowstone National Park—inhabited by bald eagles, bears, bison and elk. There are 10,000 boiling springs, mud pots and geysers—including Old Faithful, where we enjoy a picnic lunch. Overnight in Jackson-area deluxe hotel.
Day 8: Grand Teton National Park (B,L,D)
Explore Grand Teton National Park today with visits to Jenny Lake, the Church of the Transfiguration and National Museum of Wildlife Art, overlooking an impressive elk refuge. Optional scenic float trip on the Snake River. Farewell dinner at deluxe hotel in Jackson.
Day 9: Jackson, Wyoming (B)
Tour ends after breakfast at the hotel. flight home.
