Train Type: Luxury
The Tour
South Africa’s classic yet modern Blue Train runs between Pretoria and Cape Town. Our Blue Train package lets you pair the fabulous train with the five-star game reserve of your choice. Private touring in Cape Town is also up to you—Cape Winelands with two tastings, or Cape Peninsula for views of the Cape of Good Hope. Combine with Rovos Rail, another South African luxury train, for a unique view of the African subcontinent’s diverse and spectacular scenery.
“Everything about this operation gently whispers ‘class.’ My single suite included private bathroom and shower, table and chairs, fold-down berth, telephone to call my steward, and a large closet above which was built in a private video system. The inlaid wood and brass gleamed and everything, from my complimentary kimono and slippers to the embroidery woven into the train’s fabrics, was tastefully emblazoned with the Blue Train ‘B.’”
