Itinerary

Day 1: Vancouver
Transfer from airport to Vancouver’s Pan Pacific Hotel. Afternoon/evening at leisure.

Day 2: Vancouver Island
Welcome breakfast followed by float plane trip to Vancouver Island and Butchart Gardens. Tour Victoria and enjoy high tea at Fairmont Empress Hotel before returning to Vancouver.

Day 3: Vancouver- Kamloops
Transfer to Royal Canadian Pacific—your home for the next 12 days. Travel to interior of British Columbia and overnight on board as train rests in Kamloops.

Day 4: Okanagan Valley
Motorcoach to the Okanagan Valley. Visit a selection of wineries nestled among the bountiful lakes. Gourmet lunch at Mission Hill Winery. Return to the train and overnight at Revelstoke.

Day 5: On board
The train winds through some of Canada’s most beautiful mountain panoramas to Golden, where a helicopter ride provides a bird’s-eye view of the valley. Back on board, cross Continental Divide and Kicking Horse River, followed by the world-famous Spiral Tunnels. Dinner and overnight on board at Lake Louise.

Day 6: Lake Louise/Banff
Guided tour of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and Banff Springs Hotel. Free time in Banff to visit the many unique shops. Train to Calgary and overnight at Fairmont Palliser Hotel.

Day 7: Calgary
Day at leisure to explore Calgary on your own or take guided tour. Late afternoon train departure to overnight in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.

Day 8: Moose Jaw
Arrive in curiously named Moose Jaw for a visit to the headquarters of the Canadian Snowbirds, demonstration flight team (431 Squadron) of the Canadian Armed Forces. Afternoon departure for Regina, Saskatchewan, and a First Nations culinary experience.

Day 9: Regina
Visit the new Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Centre in Regina. Afternoon train departure to Winnipeg.

Day 10: Winnipeg-Kenora
Morning visit of newly opened Indian Residential School Museum of Canada, in Portage La Prairie, for a provocative look into Canada’s First Nations history. Train to Kenora, Ontario, for overnight stabling, after a sunset Lake of the Woods cruise on the M.S. Kenora.

Day 11: Thunder Bay

Breakfast on board as train continues east. Afternoon interpretive tour of the Lakehead Region. Dinner and overnight on board in Thunder Bay.

Day 12: On board
Relaxing day on board enjoying the train’s amenities and scenery of the Canadian Great Lakes. Overnight in Sudbury.

Day 13: Niagara Falls
Travel through Ontario wine region. Afternoon visit of Niagara Falls with an “Explore the Roar” cruise on Maid of the Mist. Private tour and dinner at Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery.

Day 14: Montreal
Leisurely day traveling alongside Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence Seaway en route to final destination of “la belle province,” Montreal. Evening transfer to Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel for two-night stay.

Day 15: Montreal
Breakfast in the hotel, with the remainder of the day at your leisure to tour Montreal.

Day 16: Montreal
Transfer to Montreal airport after breakfast.
