From the romantic arches of Verona’s Piazza dei Signori to the cobbles of London’s fashionable Carnaby Street, travel between two historic cities aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. You may also disembark in Paris.
Your time aboard the train promises to be as enchanting as the destination. Whether sampling world-class cuisine, listening to the resident pianist or admiring the passing scenery, every moment promises multi-sensory delight.
This itinerary is also available in the reverse direction: London to Verona.
Day 1: Verona
Step aboard the gleaming carriages of the iconic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express this afternoon. Settle into your private cabin and relax before a stunning three-course lunch in one of the dining cars. Return to your cabin and admire views of forests, lakes and mountains. Perhaps enjoy an aperitif in the Bar Car before sitting down to a magnificent four-course dinner prepared by the on-board French chefs.
Day 2: London Arrival
A continental breakfast is served in your cabin before the train arrives at Paris Gare de l’Est, where you may disembark. Or (as we recommend) continue on to London:
A delicious brunch is served as you travel on towards Calais and the English Channel.
Meet the Belmond British Pullman at Folkestone, where you will be greeted with a glass of chilled champagne. Feast on a classic afternoon tea and admire the passing British countryside before arriving at London Victoria early evening.

Reviews From Our Travelers
Every year I think this will be my final trip. But the trips you offer are so glorious I can’t stop. You may have to have me committed somewhere to get me to stop.
Eleanor makes you feel like you are her only client. Always available to help with even the smallest detail. Our trip was absolutely trouble free. Everything worked exactly like we expected it to.
In a word, wonderful. I am so happy. I have traveled my entire life, but aging has put limits on my mobility. I was beginning to despair--would I be able to make more of my dreams come true? With the help of Rachel Hardy, the IRT team, and their associates at Remote Lands, I was able to see everything I had hoped for--and more--in comfort. Amazing! I am so grateful.
We are delighted to arrange your hotels in Venice, Budapest, & Paris or London, as well as transfers and touring to meet your requirements. Contact us for more information about this concierge service.
Special Report: View travel notes by Society owners Owen & Eleanor Hardy, who celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express Venice-Paris-London. We loved the Red Carnation Milestone Hotel in London. Le Meurice was our luxurious home in Paris before we rode the VSOE Paris-Istanbul for the Society’s 20th anniversary trip.
