The Tour
Board the Belmond Britannic Explorer in London for this three-night itinerary through the stunning landscapes of the Lake District, the Peak District, and Oxfordshire, savoring renowned cuisine and a variety of outdoor adventures. Itinerary
Day 1: London – Keighley
Board the Britannic Explorer at London Victoria Station in the mid-afternoon and settle into your suite.
Enjoy a Cumbrian Afternoon Tea as the train travels through the heart of England, winding through Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, and South Yorkshire.
In the evening, make your way to The Bar to mingle with your fellow guests over a selection of signature cocktails before an exquisite dinner in one of the dining cars.
Enjoy a peaceful night as the train stables at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
Day 2: Keighley – Workington – Penrith – Appleby
Enjoy an early departure through the Yorkshire Dales with scenic views over Morecambe Bay and the Arnside Viaduct, arriving in Grange-over-Sands for breakfast by the sea.
Disembark to visit Graythwaite Estate for a morning of exploration or activities, then return for an exclusive farm visit and late lunch with Simon Rogan.
Reboard the train to unwind with light dining and evening entertainment, before an overnight stop on the Settle–Carlisle line.
Day 3: Appleby – Oxfordshire
Breakfast is served as the train follows England’s scenic Settle & Carlisle line, crossing the famous Ribblehead Viaduct and passing through the stunning Peak District.
Upon arrival in Buckinghamshire, journey to Bray for a farewell dinner at Alain Roux’s three-Michelin-starred Waterside Inn.
After an elegant evening, return to the Britannic Explorer for a restful night in The Chilterns.
Day 4: Oxfordshire – London
Breakfast is served as the train travels back to London through the picturesque landscapes of Oxfordshire. Arrive at Victoria Station early in the morning where your journey ends.
