Embark on a captivating rail journey aboard the Vietnam Express, the country’s first luxury train, where scenic vistas meet age-old traditions.
The Vietnam Express began service in December 2024, and takes guests between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with sightseeing stops en route.
Step into a world of tranquility with the train’s inviting Classic cabins inspired by a 1920s style fusing Vietnamese and French aesthetics. Relax on board in the elegant Bistro Car, where you will enjoy gourmet cuisine and curated beverages.
Accommodations
The Vietnam Express carries up to 60 passengers in 30 cabins across its 10 sleeping cars.
Classic Cabins
All cabins on board are Classic Cabins and are approximately 107 square feet (1o square meters). There are 10 Classic Cabins with a double bed and 20 Classic Cabins with twin beds.
Double beds measure 6.2 feet by 4.9 feet (1.9 meters by 1.5 meters), while the twin beds each measure 6.2 feet by 2.3 feet (1.9 meters by 0.7 meters). All cabins have a premium-equipped en-suite bathroom measuring 2.6 feet by 4 feet (0.8 meters by 1.2 meters), with shower, sink and toilet.
Each cabin has two large windows and is thoughtfully appointed with two chairs, small table, minibar and a wardrobe with built-in shoe rack and safe.
Dining
The Vietnam Express features two elegantly designed Bistro Cars, each equipped with a dining area, bar and lounge area.
The dining area of each Bistro car serve up to 60 guests at tables set for 2 and 4 guests. Meals will highlight fresh, locally sourced ingredients and celebrate the flavors of the region. Western food with Vietnamese fusion will be served. A variety of dietary needs can be accommodated; please request/confirm at time of booking.
A full-service bar offers expertly crafted cocktails, fine wines, and premium refreshments. A small lounge area can be found next to the bar, which stays open until the last guest retires for the evening. Enjoy a morning coffee or toast to a day’s adventures with new friends. All meals and drinks (with the exception of a premium wine list) are included.
